LinkedIn is that one app I have on my phone to connect with professionals on business deals.
I got my first online job from this platform and I'm still using it to hunt for more.
I've met many people across the world that shaped my business mind. Thanks to LinkedIn!
I joined LinkedIn about four years ago, and since then, they’ve consistently sent me job listings that actually match my skills. The only downside is that most of the opportunities are in locations that aren’t ideal for me—but overall, the platform’s been really helpful and informative in my job search.
I like linkedin as a job sourcing platform. A lot of people have gotten employment through linkedin. But my problem with linkedin is that many of Linkedin users exaggerate too much. At times I would read some articles and I will be like what am I doing with my life? Such habit can make people to be depressed. I believe there is a way they can filter real testimonies from the fabricated ones. They should develop a mechanism for that.
I've been locked out of my account for months now I've
submitted my government issued ID it wasn't verified neither
was it declined till now I still can't login. There's no support
email address I can't contact the team. This is frustrating
since I created an account on LinkedIn app I haven't been able to
use it because of this issue.
Notifications and messaging features are unusable. I would like to see notification only about direct messages, but there is no such option. Instead, app rings with spam notifications every 20 minutes. Turning notifications off through in-app settings
does not work. I had to completely disable notifications through system settings, but because of that, I miss direct messages. Additionally, there are a lot of minor bugs, like messages are marked unread even after reading them.
I joined LinkedIn to network and find opportunities—and it delivered. I landed interviews, connected with industry peers, and even got freelance gigs. But man, the fakeness is exhausting. My feed is flooded with humblebrags ("From homeless to CEO in 3 days!") and vague motivational posts. Random DMs either want to "collaborate" (read: sell me something) or beg for referrals. The algorithm pushes cringe over substance, and Premium feels like a scam. Still, I can’t quit—it’s where the jobs are. I just mute the noise and focus on real connections.
LinkedIn is a professional and reliable recruiting platform. I got my current job through LinkedIn last years ago, and it has been a life changing experience. I truly appreciate the opportunities the platform provides and highly recommend it to job seekers.
