Review Time
I decided to try StarTimes last December because I wanted something simple and affordable to keep the house entertained during the holidays. I didn’t want to spend too much, and I honestly thought I’d cancel after the first month, but here we are in July, and I’m still using it.
I was hypnotized by the cheapness of start times plans until I started using it. In fact, I abandoned my dstv because of the above reason. However, I was discouraged by their screen resolution (low quality display) as it was not displaying in HD. The start times plans that used to be cheap are now expensive. The price is not even the issue for me but the fact they have not improved the quality of their show. I remembered subscribing for their weekly plan last year when it was still #500 hoping to see good programs and channels in good quality display but I experienced otherwise. They can do better though.
I started using StarTimes mainly because I needed a more affordable option for family TV, and honestly, it has served us well. What stood out for me from the beginning is how cheap and simple it is to set up , no satellite dish stress, just the decoder and antenna, and you’re good to go.
One thing I’ve come to really appreciate is their focus on African and local content. Channels like ST Yoruba, Nollywood Plus, and African Movie Channel keep my evenings busy. My kids also enjoy the cartoon channels like ST Kids and DreamWorks — and they’re learning from them too.
The subscription packages are pocket-friendly, especially for someone like me who doesn’t want to spend too much on cable TV every month. I like that I can subscribe weekly, monthly, or even daily. That flexibility is helpful when budget is tight.
It's about the app.
I love this app. Easy to use, low data usage and gives me the
convenience of watching my favorite programs anywhere and
anytime, even when far away from home, just with my phone. I
want to suggest that an interface for laying and resolving of
complaints regarding the decoder should be added to the app
for those who don't prefer to call help lines. Thanks
StarTimes is a great option for affordable home entertainment. I like the variety of channels they offer, from local news to movies and sports. It’s budget, friendly and works well, especially for those who want decent content without paying too much.
Startimes is a reliable brand. Initially, i was using other cable network like dstv but when i realized how expensive there bouquet was i have to get startime. I realized startime is cheap and its subscription is affordable, virtually all the channels i preferred is shown on it. I thank God i chose the brand oo.
And i love the way they are flexible in reminding customers via calls and messages on some other exciting programmes on there channel . Not only that, the clarity of the channels are second to known. I have been using startime for a while now and i don't think i will be changing it.
