I don’t know what we did to deserve this. They only bring light twice a week in akungba around adefarati, yet still show up to collect full payment at month-end. It’s like they have no human feelings or fear of God.
It seems these people had channelled their energy of outrageous bill for those without meter to the people using prepaid meter now.
I think the way they calculate their VAT should be made known to the general public and then we be the judge if it's justifiable or not.
For instance, when I recharge #6500 card on it, myself with my neighbor could barely use it for 1 week before the thing would be exhausted, and this is a scenario whereby we are not always at home during the day as we will out at work, we only use this at night and yet it gets finished in a short while.
The most annoying part is the customers service, they would address someone as if we are not paying for the services we are using, they so much have bad mouth, and still would not attend to cases presented to them
My experience with this service so far has been bad o. They bring bill of 20 or 30k to our house every month and if we complain they threaten to remove our wire.
They are acting like lord and if their is problem it takes them forever to fix it.
We've requested and paid for a prepaid meter since last year, they've been telling us stories on why it's not available. Them no nice at all.
Ever since bedc took over from nepa, the hike in power supply rate is outrageous.
I followed my dad last week to get a prepaid meter reason is the monthly bill they usually bring for my father's house of 4 bedroom flat without freezer and regular power supply is #30,000 -#50,000 monthly,so we thought getting a prepaid meter will bring solution to it and I followed him to their lafe office in Akure. When we got there,we were told the debt on our bill has accumulated to #405,000 and in lieu of that, they said we should pay #150,000 out of the debt before they give us prepaid meter .
I was annoyed cos the new system is that no matter the debt, there's a way to deduct certain percentage from the card we load on the meter every time we recharge but now they are denying us not to get the meter until we pay that huge amount of #150k
So bedc are really not doing well, hike in unstable power supply is not pleasing at all and their no enjoyment with the epileptic supply.
Bedc ,a private body in charge of electricity in Nigeria are just only after our money.
Ever since electricity have been privatized,it has been epileptic supply and I can't even track when they bring supply,it has been unstable and at month end ,you see their staff parading to get money.
In my orita obele area at Akure, light supply is always low in the day while at midnight it brightens and I don't even understand the light timing at all.
Bedc are not doing well at all and also solicit for affordable prepaid meter so that it will be easy for me to get
If I could rate them zero, I will gladly do that.
So, it happened that I requested for a prepaid meter for my house and made payments immediately every necessary actions was taken, but I was denied the meter, not until I said I would write NEC before I was given the meter, now I got the meter, one of their bosses came and disconnected my light, demanding that I pay her #200,000, after making full payment of the meter.
Now she is even refusing I reconnect my light, when I'm not owing them, it's just a pity I do not know her name
