Review of DStv Nigeria

To be fair, when it works, the picture quality is excellent. But technical issues and pricing

I’ve used DSTV for over 2 years now, mostly for sports and entertainment channels. While the content is good, especially SuperSport and African Magic, the overall experience has been disappointing.

The signal cuts off often during rain, and sometimes even when the weather is fine. I’ve called customer care several times about decoder errors (especially E16), and it can take hours to get it resolved. The subscription cost is also becoming unreasonable. I use the Compact Plus bouquet and pay over ₦16,000 monthly, yet some international channels are still not included. I feel like I’m not getting full value for money.

Review of GTBank

Overall, GTBank is good for tech-savvy users who mostly bank online. But if you rely on going to the

I’ve banked with GTB for over 5 years. Their mobile app is one of the best in Nigeria—fast, reliable, and easy to navigate. I use it for all my transfers, bills, and airtime. The GTWorld app especially is sleek and stable. That said, customer service at physical branches leaves a lot to be desired. I had an issue with a blocked card last year, and I spent almost 3 hours at the branch before it was resolved. The queue system is disorganized, and only a few staff were attending to customers. Also, the email response time is quite slow. It once took 5 days for them to reply to my complaint about a failed POS transaction.

Review of Palmpay

Reliable for Quick Loans, but too many notifications.

I’ve been using PalmPay for about 10 months now, mainly for airtime top-ups, transfers, and occasionally taking small loans. The app interface is clean and very user-friendly. I especially like the cashback rewards and zero transfer fees.
However, while the loan process is fast and convenient (approval usually takes just a few minutes), the interest rates can be a bit high if you delay payment. I once paid a few days late and the penalty added up quickly. Their reminders are very aggressive too, I get multiple daily notifications and even calls, even when I'm not owing. Customer service via the in-app chat is okay, although sometimes responses take hours. Despite that, the app is very reliable and hasn’t crashed or glitched during any transaction.

Review of Jumia

Jumia is convenient and affordable, but still needs to improve logistics and customer support

Jumia Nigeria offers a wide variety of products and an easy-to-use app, making online shopping convenient. However, delivery delays and inconsistent customer service can affect the overall experience. While pricing and return policies are fair, improvements in logistics and support are needed.
