Review of Opay

Opay has given me more confidence in fintech than most traditional banks ever did. Highly effective

Opay has become my main financial app for the past year, and it has been nothing short of excellent. I use it daily for transfers, airtime/data purchases, utility payments, and sometimes for POS withdrawals through their agents.
The app interface is smooth and easy to navigate, and I rarely experience downtimes. Transfers are instant, and I’ve never had a case of money hanging or delayed like with some traditional banks. One of the standout features is the virtual card, which I use for online purchases,.
Also, Opay’s in-app customer support chat is very responsive. I once had a failed transaction due to poor network, and the issue was resolved within 10 minutes via chat. Their cashback offers and zero transfer fees are also a big plus.

Review of GOtv Nigeria

Gotv is so reliable & cost less but they need to upgrade their signal strength on weather changes

I’ve been using GOtv for over a year now, and while it’s affordable compared to DSTV, the experience has been mixed. One of the main issues I’ve encountered is signal loss during rain or even light weather changes. Also, the decoder freezes occasionally, requiring me to restart it to restore channels.
On the positive side, the payment process is very easy, because I usually renew my subscription through the Opay app, and the activation is almost instant. However, customer service is difficult to reach. I once had a subscription activation issue that took over 48 hours to resolve because their WhatsApp and call centers were not responsive.
In terms of content, GOtv has a fair selection of local and international channels, but they repeat programs a lot, and some channels don’t always show what’s on the TV guide. Still, it’s a decent option for the price if you’re not a heavy TV user.

Review of Zenith Bank

My experience with Zenith Bank over the years has been an exceptional ones.

Zenith Bank has been my main bank for over 8 years, and the experience has been decent overall. Their mobile banking app (Zenith Bank App) is fast and generally reliable, although it sometimes logs you out unexpectedly or refuses to open during network maintenance windows. I appreciate that transactions (especially transfers) are quick and usually confirmed instantly. However, customer service in-branch can be slow, and I’ve had to wait over 30 minutes just to make simple enquiries, also you will need to visit the bank if your phone is lost. One plus is that they rarely have ATM network downtime, and their USSD code is quite responsive even in areas with poor signal. Charges are standard, but clearer breakdowns would help.

Review of MTN Nigeria

Overall, MTN is dependable, especially in urban areas, but could improve data value.

MTN is easily the most reliable mobile network I’ve used in terms of internet speed and call quality. I’ve streamed HD videos, uploaded large files, and even joined Zoom meetings with minimal lag. However, the data bundles are expensive, and data seems to deplete faster than expected, even when background data is off. Their MyMTN app is functional but could use a design refresh, it sometimes takes long to load. Customer care via 180 is responsive, but automated responses delay real human interaction.
